FULL-STACK ENGINEER

Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing new product features, large and small on a host of applications that represent supply chain management, inventory forecasting, farmer apps, wholesale buyer portals, BI tools, and online e-commerce systems

  • Create well organized mobile web applications that follow the latest practices for HTML5, JavaScript and CSS, as well as Bootstrap and Angular

  • Build responsive front-ends that work on all modern desktop and mobile browsers

  • Identify, build and maintain components that can be used across our products and customers

  • Implement engaging, excellent, and pixel perfect user experiences designed in collaboration with our UX team

  • Collaborating with other Engineering team members through code reviews and occasional pair programming

  • Guiding technical decision making and contributing towards improving our engineering process

  • Working with the Engineering, product management and other team leaders to inform product road mapping

  • Conduct technical and- feature risk assessments

  • Understanding and influencing the vision and overall strategy

  • Helping maintain code quality, organization and automatization

  • Reports to the Head of Engineering

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience building apps using HTML5/6, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery

  • 2+ years of experience with Bootstrap, Angular or AngularJS

  • Experience integrating or designing RESTful APIs

  • Strong problem solving, debugging skills, eye for detail, and an ability to anticipate and find corner cases

  • Ability to problem solve and meet deadlines in fast-paced, agile development environments

Additional Requirements:

HR MANAGER

Full Time

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties at a professional level, with a high degree of independence and critical thinking. This position works closely with the leadership team, and will be responsible in standing up our HR department. The HR manager will support and provide hands on assistance to all staff to support their understanding and processing of benefits, enrollment, and election options. Along with managing the benefit processes, they will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, audit requirements, and reporting. Additionally, the HR Manager will be responsible for working on necessary recruitment requirements to help grow our team!

Responsibilities

  • ​​​Develop, recommend, and implement staff policies and procedures;
  • create, maintain and update the staff handbook as policies and procedures change;

  • perform benefits administration which include claims resolution/changes and bill reconciliations;

  • manage the recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conduct reference checking; extend job offers;

  • assist employees with qualifying events to ensure they make timely changes to their benefit plans when needed.

  • Prepare and conduct new hire orientations to ensure those eligible for benefits complete the required enrollment forms; similarly, ensure benefit separations are processed.

  • Manage and work with benefits brokers to coordinate the annual open enrollment processes for all insurances.

  • Work closely with payroll to process and audit all information that goes into the bi-weekly payroll.

  • Monitor and audit employee data for accuracy including: employee status, benefits changes, accurate leave balances, PTO tracking, and benefit enrollment/deductions.

  • Prepare, review, and submit annual employment and compliance reports (e.g. IRS Form 5500, Discrimination Testing, ACA, and audit preparation) as needed.

  • Manage, coordinate, and advise all staff on the processes pertaining to FMLA, PFL, or any other personal leaves of absence.

  • Remain current on SF employment compliance changes (e.g. laws, ordinances, policies, procedures), and update written materials accordingly.

  • Work with the leadership to plan and implement agency staff meetings, and other staff events (All Staff meetings, staff recognition events, monthly staff social events, new hire orientations and staff training).

  • Other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in building company culture and employee benefits programs

  • 5+ years’ experience managing health benefits

  • Ability to work independently and with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with a customer service-oriented work style.

  • Extremely strong project and time management skills.

  • Experience supervising staff and PHR certification preferred.

  • Advise product, engineering and marketing teams on digitally enabled automations to support sales efforts - drip email marketing, dialing tools, marketing our installment payment plans, etc

  • Sell locally and nationally

  • Work closely with management team to improve key performance indicators and meet objectives

  • Develop and execute plans to build long-lasting relationships with customers

  • Identify and develop new prospects and move through the sales cycle – networking,  referrals, events, and direct selling

  • Educate prospective customers on product offerings and services and the benefits it provides

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales and business development experience

  • Previous sales experience within B2B software sales, agriculture or wine industries a big plus

  • Previous training in various sales methodologies

  • Possess professional demeanor to build, maintain and enhance client relationships

  • Ability to turn qualified leads into paying customers

  • Exceptional achievement of past sales goals – you’re results and quota driven
